French soprano born in Corsica in a village near Bastia. Known for her truly "sunny" voice with its exceptional timbre. Not only was she famous for her interpretations of "Mimi" (1954) and "Musette" (1960) in "La Bohème" or "Cio-Cio-San" in "Madame Butterfly", but also as a sensitive and very authentic performer of the often sad and melancholic folkloric songs of her homeland.
