The Concerto Vocale Leipzig was founded in 1984 as a mixed chamber choir at the initiative of Gotthold Schwarz. The focus of his repertoire is the orchestral accompaniment vocal music of the 17th century, but also a cappella and modern works occasionally find their way into his concert programs.
