Spray Me Down is Connie Acher's fourth full length album released on Albany, New York's Flipped Out Records. A New York City visual artist, Melodie Provenzano conceived of "Connie Acher" in 1996, while obsessively creating outsider folk pop on her four track late at night. After working long days doing window display on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan, Melodie would make up songs in her bedroom about the tribulations of love and being alive. "Acher" stands for "one who aches" and "Connie" represents the pseudonymous character of her musical voice. Over a decade later, her most recent emotional expression "Spray Me Down" has the highest production quality and most refined instrumentation of any of her four albums.
