American author, pannist and composer (1932-1998.) Early New York pannist along with Rudolph King. Pseudonymous subject of “Out of the Burning” by Ira H. Freeman published in 1960. Alumnus New York State Training School for Boys; Brooklyn College and St. John’s University. Community activist in addiction recovery, AIDS and black-on-black crime. Later published several books on the Yoruba religion and Africana. Most noted (albeit disputed) for writing "Zombie Jamboree (Back To Back.)"
