Cool'r

Band,
R&B/Soul and Hip-Hop/Rap

Band from the Oregon area which included 3 members of the group Pleasure (4). In 1982, the band started one of their first live-shows on a Thursday night at "The Rodeo Club," run by club-owner Larry Rice. Around 1986 they released their debut-album on Half & Half Records, and was followed by a second album in 1988 on Ode Records. They were inducted for the 2009 Oregon Music Hall of Fame at the Roseland Theater, and were joined on stage by Jeff Lorber. Lorber has previously recorded and performed with both Nate Phillips and Bruce Carter, another of the 2009 inductees. Carter, who passed away in 2006, was also Cool'r's original drummer.
