South African band with vocalist Peter Taylor who passed away in 2014, in the UK, at age 66. He and various members originated from the UK and moved to South Africa in 1974. In June 1978, Copperfield entered the local charts with their slowed-down, ballad interpretation of So You Win Again, which peaked at no. 2.[3] and no. 15 in Zimbabwe. Other group members included: TERRY MEREDITH - guitar CHRIS MOORE - lead guitar PETE BALL - bass DAVE DALE - drums TREVOR ELLIS - keyboards RICHARD BAILEY - keyboards and flute Terry was connected with former UK acts Garden Odyssey, Young Blood, Lemon Tree and The Ivy League. Chris Moore was connected also with Garden Odyssey and Young Blood. Pete Ball also had connections with Garden Odyssey. Dave Dale had connections with The Ivy League. Richard Bailey was part of the group whilst still in the UK but left to join Magnum.
