Romanian violonist (1947-2010) born in Timisoara. Pupil of Ivry Gitlis for few months in Salzburg and Paris, 1969-70. In 1973 she is said to have made a suicide attempt after she had not come in a competition (Premio Paganini, Genoa) to the final. Rumors of a completed suicide are wrong. Later, a certain stabilization seems to have occurred - Cornelia Vasile was (it will probably have been about from the early 80s) concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra Graunke in Munich (Symphonie-Orchester Graunke - today Munich Symphony Orchestra). In 1969 she recorded Paganini's 24 Caprices (Electrecord, Romania)
