Spanish amateur chorus from the basque city of Irún (Guipuzcoa) founded in 1957 as a male bass voices, then in 1967 turn to a mix voices chorus. Founded and conducted by chorus master Fernando Etxepare Díaz [Fernando Echepare] from 1957 to 1994 and since 1994 by his son Fernando Etxepare Gómez. Has a main chorus of mixed voices named as Coro Ametsa (= Ametsa Abesbatza), also a senior chorus founded in 2006 named as "Betiko Ametsa" with around 60 mixed voices. A junior chorus named "Ametsa Gazte" founded in 2004 and a child chorus "Ametsa Txiki" founded in 1972 with around 40 voices. Also a music school named Ametsa Tailerra.
