Producer of Dance

New York producer and DJ Cory James is a hidden treasure in the city’s vibrant techno community. James’ signature hypnotic and high-energy sound has found him sharing the decks with such luminaries as Ben Sims, Shifted, Anthony Parasole, VRIL and more. His label Dusk Notes, that he runs with fellow NY artist Soramimi, is set to release its fifth and sixth vinyl releases this year. Cory James is well respected in the techno arena, with a release on esteemed labels such as BEAR, founded by Concrete Paris residents Behzad and Amarou, a track with Adam Pek on Trevino’s Birdie imprint, and on NY/Berlin based label L.A.G., where James co-produced two EPs as part of the duo Point Break with Arthur Kimskii. He is set to release more of his productions on Monday Off and Dusk Notes in 2018. In addition to his productions, James is a well sought after DJ. Cory has been invited to play some of NY’s well-respected underground parties and clubs such as The Bunker, Output, Good Room, Bossa Nova Civic Club and more.
