Album US 2010 on Dirty Electronic label
Electronic and Pop (Synth-pop)
All songs recorded on a MacBook Pro, wherever there was a free moment. Copyright 2010 Mark Nicholas (BMI). Publishing 2010 Dirty Electronic (BMI). Inside the liner notes of this EP, there is a dedication that reads "For Zoe Lain, my little cupcake." (The word cupcake is represented by a tiny image of an ascii cupcake.) There is also this paragraph written below the dedication: "This collection of songs was written as a way of coping with the multiple illnesses affecting my (now) 18 month-old daughter. Laptop computer by my side, sometimes even by Zoe's bedside at the hospital, music was my way to work through it all. From self-pity ("Resignation"), to the strain on my marriage ("Still"), to finally facing the fact that Zoe was not going to be like other kids ("Truth"), to figuring out how I was going to move forward ("Proxy"), and finally, to just letting myself feel each day as it really is ("Respiration"). I know that, traditionally, Cosmicity songs have been laced with humor and fantasy, but hopefully this helps clarify why this EP is a little different. I also really want to thank everyone who is reading this. Your unwavering support has enabled me to write and release Cosmicity songs for over 15 years now, and I look forward to recording music for a long time to come. 12/06/2009"
