Vocalist Jacques Dupuis (ex-The Absurds) and guitarist Denis Handfield formed Countdown Zero in Montreal, 1984. They recruited drummer Mike Brisebois (ex-No Policy) and bassist François Jutras. After contributing songs to several compilations, the band recorded an 8-song demo tape at La Majeure Studio in 1986. They broke up in 1987.
