Indonesian artist, born in Batavia (current Jakarta) on October 22, 1919. During the 1930s he started his musical career in the former Dutch East Indies as a guitar player (later Hawaiian guitar player). In 1960 he moved to Holland, where he was contacted by Bill Buysman to join the band The Kilima Hawaiians. He was a member for only a brief period then, from October 1960 to June 1961. In 1967 however he rejoined the band. This time replacing member Frans van Oirschot. The artist has passed away on April 12, 2005
