A.k.a. Csoko Matiné
The initial idea of Crate Soul Brothers came from the Hungarian DJ duo Keyser & Shuriken (Tibor Mozsik and Gábor Vályi) who wanted to form an open collective of producers and musicians. In 2001 they teamed up with their DJ and producer friend Ambrus Tövisházi (Erik Sumo) who left the formation in early 2005.
Keyser & Shuriken have been DJing together for a couple of years. During the years they've spent behind the decks they have built reputations as fanatic record collectors and selectors of old and nu jazz, bossa breaks, rare grooves, easy listening, crime funk, afro beat, latinaires and a wide selection of chilled out sounds from the past and present. They have dj'd all around Hungary, Europe and the USA.
Crate Soul Brothers have a weekly radio program each Thursday evening on the legendary Budapest-based non-profit Radio Tilos.
