CRISTABELLE CHILDREN were a welsh band, formed in 1986 covering songs by the Cocteau Twins, Robert Smiths - The Glove, Sisters of Mercy , Fleetwood Mac. We then we decided to write our own stuff, Steeve, Ed and me. We were always attracted to dark, meaningful lyrics and when we sent Christian Death our rough demo, they loved us and gave us the opportunity to go on tour with them in 1988. Gitane Demone gave me the chance to learn how to experiment with my vocals. At that time she was also teaching Maitri. Valor did an ep with us, the track was called 'We Are'. We loved the song, but the production was awful so we shelved the project. Nok made a massive difference to us, injecting some cash from his house sale. We then recorded our Ep 'A Course In Miracles', which we produced ourselves. It was sent to France and 'My Dorment Hours' became the most requested song on several radio stations. The band broke up in 1991. The bands name often gets incorrectly spelt as Christabelle Children
