Crooked Stovepipe is Canada's oldest bluegrass band, now (2018) in its 45th year. Based in St. John's, Newfoundland, it was formed by bluegrass historian and folklorist Neil V. Rosenberg and realtor Ted Rowe. Other members have included fiddlers Don Randell, Ted Blanchard, Pat Moran, Charles Cook, and Carole Bestvater; mandolinists Charley Pennell, Scott Swinden, Rex Yetman, and Dave Rowe; bass players Anne Milovsoroff, Jim Rillie, Dave Rowe, Tom Power and Matt Hender; and guitarist-Dobroist Shelley Posen.
