CROSSOVER was born in 1997 from the ashes of other bands, originally as Zion. During September of 1999, they record their first promo CD called Promo 2000. The line-up is finalized and CROSSOVER transforms their music with a harder and darker sound. During January of 2002 they record at Nemesis Studios and put into circulation officially in an independent production, their first Mini CD titled "Over The Cross" (Rate: 9/10 and Demo of the Month in Metal Hammer Magazine). After the release of this mCD CROSSOVER had a lot of good reviews and was the demo of the month in the Greek Metal Hammer magazine, April 2002 (Rate: 9/10). CROSSOVER had a lot of pleadings and finally they signed with the French, Dead Sun Records. Also participate in many collections of the extreme sound all over the world such as "Greece Attacks Vol. II". The debut album was out on October 2002 under the title "Debauchery" and has 12 tracks (Rate: 8/10). Many live appearances in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Cyprus, too many appearances in fests like Metal Healing Festival, Metal Heads Mission Festival, March Metal Day Festival, with many bands such as Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh, Rotting Flesh, Firewind, Nightfall, Naer Mataron, Obsecration, Kawir, Inactive Messiah and Homo Iratus from our homeland and Manowar (USA), Suffocation (USA), Destruction (DE), Tiamat (SWE), Deicide (USA), Dark Funeral (SWE), Marduk (SWE) (3 shows), Mayhem (NOR) (2 shows), Ancient (NOR) (2 shows), Rhapsody of Fire (IT), Epica (NL), Pentagram (TUR), Hollyhell (USA), Cenotaph (TUR), Devilish Impressions (PL), Absurdity (FR), Vulvulator (UA), Demenzia (BG), The A.X.E. Project (BG), Crystalnacht (BG), Grimegod (RO), Demoral (RU), Vomigod (PL), In Memory (IT) (2 Shows), Arkhon (CY), Entity (CY), Sabbah Navahthani (CY), Desecration (TR). In 2004 CROSSOVER signed with Sleaszy Rider Records (GR) for 2 records. The latest album "Dogma" (SRR 026) with guest appearance on vocals by Kaiaphas (ex Ancient) is available in all specialist music stores. (Rate: 8/10) In 2007 the band continues to play many important gigs and release the “Dream of Fire” EP for first time on vinyl (4-way spit), while in 2011 CROSSOVER released the newest album entitled "Pythagorized" with guest appearance on vocals by Aphazel (Ancient), Jan (Agathocles), Tristessa (Astarte), Nick (Lloth, Insected), Elizabeth (En-garde) and Nick (Deviser). Most of the lyrics are written by ZION and Marietta Malta while the music is all by CROSSOVER. Graphics and Layout Supervisor for CROSSOVER is Yiannis Chrysakis, stylist/mortal sound designer is Pablito Norvic.
