Album LU 2000 on UR-MUSIC label
Rock (Hard Rock)
Crying Souls is a melodic Hard Rock band based in the south of Luxembourg. The band was formed in late 1992 by 5 schoolmates. What first seemed to be a "Just for fun" student project, turned rapidly into a serious band project with straight ambitions. Crying Souls songs can be described as the product of bits and pieces of composition and improvisation that the members toss out at rehearsals or on their own. The first professional recorded album 'Personally' features 7 tracks. Recording and mixing of the songs took place at the Emerald Studio (Luxembourg) during summer 1999 and spring 2000. The album was mastered at Skywalk Records (Germany). Like previous demo releases, the band chose a song title to name the album. For the first time ever, Crying Souls left their usual paths, and included keyboards in the song ‘Zäit’. This song is also the only song featuring luxemburgish lyrics. Lyrics generally are not politically influenced, however they often have a serious background. They are about the reality that each of us could live every day, like drug or child abuse or love and death.
