Csaba Deák , born 16 april 1932 in Budapest , Hungary , is a Swedish composer . Deak trained at Béla Bartók conservatory between 1949 and 1955 in clarinet and composition. He studied composition with Ferenc Farkas at the Liszt Academy between 1955 and 1956, and after moving to Sweden in 1957, for Hilding Rosenberg in Stockholm. Deák was elected as a member of the Association of Swedish composers 1965th He earned theory teaching degree at the Royal College of Music in 1969. He has been a teacher at the University of Gothenburg and the University College of Dance in Stockholm. Deáks production is large and varied. He is frequently played at concerts and on radio and represented in some 20 recordings. Deák received a grant from the Arts.
