Album AU 2012 on East Dominion label
Rock (Indie Rock)
After a hiatus from the Australian music industry, The Hovering Spooks were formed by Cub Callaway. Callaway is a producer of classic Australian albums and has recently produced albums for Waterford and The Fighting League that are getting critical acclaim. Callaway sensed the time was right to start up a band to record and release new songs. During the last 12 months, eight new songs were written and recorded for their first album – Streets of the City. The Hovering Spooks come with strong indie credentials. The band has a core trio who are joined by special guests as the situation arises. Cub Callaway plays acoustic and electric guitar, slide, bass and sings. Cub has played in many bands including The Saints, Ed Kuepper Band and with Damien Lovelock (Celibate Rifles). Harry Rothenfluh plays drums and bass. Harry also plays drums with Waterford who have just released a new album “Say Ok” that is getting rave reviews. Louis Callaway plays drums. Louis has played in The Fuel Economy who released an album in 2008. The band is joined by special guests John Hoey (Died Pretty) on piano and organ and Jim Woff (Crow) on bass.
