Album UK 2005 on Cherry Red label
Rock (Alternative Rock)
The first ever DVD to feature one of the most loved and enigmatic bands of the early 1990's indie scene…Cud. Cud were formed in Leeds in 1987. They comprised former art students Carl Puttnam (vocals), Mike Dunphy (guitar), Steve Goodwin (drums) and William Potter (bass). The early years were marked by storming live shows, which attracted a massive cult following in the North of England. Their debut single 'You're the Boss' was released on Reception Records, the label owned and run by The Wedding Present main man David Gedge. The band attracted the attention of legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel, for whom they recorded a session. Singer Carl Puttnam's spectacular dress sense and his kitschy, hopelessly romantic lyrics further set the band apart and they eventually moved to major label A&M, for whom they recorded three UK top 40 singles and one top 40 album. 'When At Home Film Me' features the band recorded live at Leeds University and Bradford Palace as they tour the UK. The Bradford Palace material has never been seen before, making this a unique release. Amongst the tracks featured is the Independent chart top ten hit 'Only A Prawn In Whitby' and live favourite 'Robinson Crusoe'.
