A.k.a. Rubén Hernández

D'oke defines himself as a music lover without tags and at the moment of looking for sounds of his pleasure, he always explores equally an organic side and a synthetic one, of there, the above mentioned dichotomy observed so much in the spectrum of his creations or as in his occasional freestyle DJ sets. Born and raised in Tenerife (Canary Islands) the afrolatin culture has been present in his tastes, being the root of the organic side mentioned previously. On the other hand he started to buy vinyl for djing in early 91, largely due to the rave movement from UK developed strongly in the island during those years, is there the interest for warm and stale synthetic sounds. Though this clear division, reflected in his taste and musical guidance when creating or playing, as his own words express "for me that division does not exist, in my head one of them couldn't exist without the other ..they are complementary opposites .. like everything in life, in me I have a good side or calm, if I play a bongo, and another a little wicked when I modify my saw wave synth "…. You can hear his music on labels like Offering Recordings, Cabana, Vialocal, Yoruba, United Music, Aluku, Skalla, Kalma, Just4thebeat or Iklwa….
