A.k.a. Josh Ezelle
Hailing from San Francisco, DJ Josh has been throwing down everything from disco dubs, garage, deep house, and hard percussive tech house; to roots dubs, hip hop, nujazz/lounge, and afro-latin flavour since 1986! Josh played an integral role in the founding of San Francisco's house music and rave cultures. As a DJ, bassist, producer, promoter, and music specialist, he has amassed music of all genres (thousands of records) since an early age. Josh was influenced strongly by jazz, funk, soul, dub, disco, house, and overall electro-acoustic fusion in music. From 1987 onward, Josh began playing regularly in San Francisco at such legendary parties as Five Foot Tongue, Do Not Sit, Toontown, Mr. Floppys, Das Club @ 1015 Folsom, & Club DV8, pumping early Detroit techno, Acid House, and the beginnings of house music. Involved with big names throughout the 1990s, such as Sound Factory SF, Funky Techno Tribe/Organic, Ruby Skye, The Gathering/ Basics (resident DJ).
