Japanese hip-hop and r&b DJ from Tokyo, Japan. Starting in 1997, Junko became a resident DJ at club Dynamite together with DJ's Tatsuta and Kreva. Although her playing style is undeniably female, she was able to win over the masculine crowd as well, and in March 2003 she was chosen alongside DJ Masterkey and DJ Kaori to mix “Harlem in the Mix” released on BMG, and Tommy Girl. In 2004, she released a series of compilations titled “Street To Da Fullest” and began touring Korea, Taiwan and other markets the following year. In 2006 she released "Party" on Next Entertainment, and “South To Da Fullest”, volume one of DJ Honda Recordings' southern series. As an events organizer, DJ Junko is active with Diamond@Club Harlem, where she books an exclusively-female cast. Although she is based in Tokyo, she can frequently be seen playing in Osaka as well.
