LoK is a music enthusiast that has devoted his life towards music, djing and being involved in the music industry for over 15 years. Introduced in 1993 at age 11 to hardcore and breakbeats which he instantly fell in love with he then went on to work in his local record shop which taught him about all samples he had been hearing and a love for these records was sparked! This allowed his musical tastes to broaden encompassing genres like funk and original break beats, house, disco, soul and rare groove, R&B, UK & US Hip Hop, ragga and reggae and anything with funk and soul in it! At age sixteen after coming as a runner-up in a local dj competition he was given his first DJ set in a club. Then he didn't stop, playing in many local area and London nightclubs. Going on to hold down residencies in London's West End from age 18. Follwing meeting DJ Mr Thing through long time cohort Johnny Roast aka JP, he was taken under the wing of and became close personal friends with the ex UK Dj champion and world acclaimed club dj. Who then provided him with a platform within the UK Hip Hop scene. Using this he made his way to appearing at Doctor's Orders events and eventually meeting up with Disorda of Suspect Packages and forming Suspect Packages LIVE events in Brick Lane, London. Adding to this work for large companies such as Marks And Spencer, co-promoting club nights with Dj No Way and others, holding down a 10 year residency in Hertfordshire and guesting at various other London clubs including Fabric, Scala, Notting Hill Arts club and more and appearing at festivals, rooftops and more along the way! Currently the official show DJ for UK rap legend Mystro aka Mysdiggi performing at various venues and festivals up and down the UK and abroad Including Jazz Cafe, Electric Ballroom, Boom Bap festival, Sea Sessions Festival, mischief festival and more. With an aquired wealth of knowledge, maturity and experience behind him he looks forward to many more years in the music business!
