DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess

A.k.a. Marcelle van Hoof

DJ, producer, radio broadcaster and musician from Amsterdam. She constantly plays live in locations throughout Europe and is a resident dj in amongst others Vienna, Berlin, Zurich and Basel. She uses three turntables to combine and merge various styles of music. Her main radio show is called Another Nice Mess. She released four turntable mixes/compositions on the German Klangbad label, run by Faust founding member Hans Joachim Irmler and also produces her own music. In October 2016 she made her debut on the Munich label Jahmoni with the 10'' 'In The Wrong Direction'. June 2017 saw her release the follow up, a four-track 12'' ep called 'Too'. Every now and then she collaborates with other artists, like Guido Mobius (in Quiquoiou), Lianne Hall (in Murmuration), Holger Mertin (in Fodderstompf) and Barcelona circus/performance group Animal Religion. Marcelle is a true visionary artist, ignoring most stale rules, both when she dj-s and when she makes her own music.
