The Tunisian native lives in Sweden but has a spiritual bond with Motor city that goes beyond Ford, The Lions and Motown.DJ Mourad epitomizes the strength and growth of Northern Europe and its affinity with Detroit, USA. Transaphrika is more than a homage to the classic Detroit sound - Mills, Hood, UR, and Juan Atkins - that inspires Mourad. Transaphrika is a homage to the 'journey of the drum, from the tribes of deepest Africa to the laboratory of Roland and Boss. Transaphrika is pure and simple tribal techno soul. Tribal rhythms, techno beats, melodic often sci fi inspired sounds. if there are parallel universes and another Africa out there this is how it sounds.Supported by Dave Clarke, Slam, Desy Balmer, Tomi Chair, Klaina, Manuel Perez, marco Bernardi and more there are elements of this EP that may be the final piece in the jigsaw that takes Mourad from underground hero to headline DJ.
