Music is love. It all started in 1979 deejaying for my cousin’s wedding and then going off to college to get my degree. To keep money in my pocket I deejayed on the side at all the fraternity parties and the major club in Marquette, “The Alibi”. I became the #1 DJ on and off campus. I became the #1 jock on WBKX, the campus radio station, where hundreds of letters came from the local area. This was the first time that ever happen and IN THE SUMMERS TO LEARNING HOW TO cut and scratch with the best of them. Then going back home spinning in some the biggest night in Detroit, “Rose Supper Club”, “Slaughter Playpit”, “UBQ”, “The Shelter”, “Club Med”, and many others. I came home to continue the mark of excellence in the DJ world. Juan Adkins and I collaborated on a acetate, but nothing turned out. My name started out as DJ Sensor but I felt I wanted to change that to “DJ sock it ’em”. I was deejaying a lot of house parties for colleges, frat, cabarets, and underground house like the “Hey Jude”, “Detroit West Club”, “Dazzle”, and one of the biggest underground club, New York Disco. I also put together a series of mix tapes called, “The House Chronicles”, selling thousands of them on the streets. Then I produced my first WAX project, “All the flavors 1, 2 and 3”, on VanPower Records, which sold thousands of copy. Blowing up the streets, producing some of the hottest techno house tracks in the game, “Dirty Rat”, “Sequoia’s Eyes”, Detroit Piston’s parade anthem, “Shake Your Booty”, “Lean wit it”, “I am DJ Sensor” ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-Bf_b18DvI ) and “Ohhhh Awwww”. He also did a super house track with Martin Bonds (Reel by Real) called “If you don’t stop”. DJ Sock it to ‘em blazed a trail like no other in the deejaying business and is now back with new projects and mixes. His 1200s are talking again.
