Composer / Producer of Hip-Hop/Rap, Dance and Electronic
San Francisco-based producer, composer, performer and blap pioneer DNAEBEATS (pronounced D.N.A.) creates soundscapes that travel through genre after genre. His pounding style of new Dubstep, Grime and electronic Hip hop make his records stand out in the ears of the listeners. After years of childhood classical performances around the world he knew that music was his calling. While on tour in Europe he first heard hip hop and electronic music from a tour manager who played him cassettes of Aphex Twin and Digable Planets. Both albums blew DNAE’s mind in completely different directions, and at that moment he knew his path in life was to make electronic music. In high school a few years later, DNAE acquired a DR770 sequencer. After two years of nonstop button-pushing and perfecting his sound, he signed deals with Twenty Four Seven Records in Sweden,a deal with M.F. Grimm's Manhattan-based label, Day By Day Entertainment & a Deal with Brooklyn's Sound - Ink Records. He has produced songs for handfuls of classic underground hip hop artists including: Monsta Island Czars, Mr.Lif, M.F. Grimm, Gift Of Gab, Lateef The Truthspeaker, The Shapeshifters, Ellay Khule of Project Blowed, The Visionaries, Z-Man, Azeem, & The Team. In 2004, Eternal Autumn was released in Europe and sold out in less than 2 months. Meanwhile, back in San Francisco, DNAE joined forces with the legendary Gift of Gab from Blackalicious, and the fire was lit. DNAE went on to produce the majority of Gift Of Gab's Supreme Lyricism and was invited back. to produce all of Gab's full-length album Escape to Mars, witch was released in 2009, songs "El Gifto" & "Lightyears" gaining top 10 praise from Radio Nova (Paris), & Triple J Radio (Sydney). In November 2010, DNAE's new album "Secrets Worth Dying" was released on Seclusiasis and within the 1st week was rated #1 on Beatport's must have Hip-Hop, Top 10 on Serato's White Label & #17 on Juno's Dubstep Chart! His much heralded mix tape There's a Wormhole in my Bathroom is aptly-titled and must-download. As an accomplished hip hop beat maker (working with the likes of Gift of Gab) and a producer in his own right, DNAE seamlessly weaves together hyphy, dubstep, electro and experimental into a sonic fabric that sounds like it was teleported through a tear in the time-space continuum." -San Francisco Examiner
