Daimyô Jackson is a Michael Jackson double, imitator and show act. He released own records, where he referenced Michael Jackson in his songs and even used short samples taken from Michael's songs. Daimyô (stage name) was born in the country of Surinam into a large, showbiz affine family with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He visited the polytechnic of Den Haag (Netherlands) in 1980 when he first saw The Jackson 5 on TV and decided to make his own show after finishing school. In 1987 Daimyô, together with his brother Djowin (as Prince) and sister Vera (as Sheila E.), formed the band Nirvana (4). 1988 was the year in which he met Michael's father Joe Jackson (5) in Netherlands, who was impressed by Daimyô's talent and gave permission to call himself Daimyô Jackson. He was also given the task to act as a situational double in order to divert fans from the real Michael Jackson. Nowadays, his home base is Germany. The word "daimyô" is Japanese for "baron", chosen as reference to the so-called "king of pop", Michael Jackson.
