A.k.a. Mathieu Dakota
Born in 1981 in south-western France, dakota started music production in the beginning of 2000 in the electro and techno scenes with the acquisition of his first beat machines. Very quickly his musical output drifted to Hip Hop, inspired initially by the English scene (Bigdada, Ninja Tunes and Warp Records were all labels of influence), and then later by American and Canadian artists. The music of dakota is a composition of electric and acoustic tones which moves fluidly from abstract Hip Hop to Down-tempo electronic.
