Dale Nixon

Musician
A.k.a. Greg Ginn Greg Ginn And The Royal We Poindexter Stewart The Killer Tweeker Bees

Dale Nixon was an alias used by Greg Ginn on Black Flag's "My War" album. At the time, Black Flag had no bass player so Greg recorded the bass himself but used Dale Nixon as a credit. Since then, the name "Dale Nixon" has been used as an alias by a number of musicians when they either want to hide their identity on a release or are contractually prevented from using their real name in the credits. When Greg resurrected the Black Flag name for a benefit show in 2003, he promised an appearance by Dale Nixon, leaving many fans befuddled as to how Greg would perform both guitar and bass duties at the same time. In the end, it turned out Dale's "appearance" came in the form of pre-recorded bass lines that were played during a few songs in the place of a live bass player.
