This album takes you throughout "Demanbwe", a sacred land that represents the virgin forest, primal Africa, a distant place where the roots of an ancient lineage are buried. It starts with the encounter of another world, a mythological place where the lwas (spirits) reside: The holy citadel of Ife, also called "Lavilokan". Arriving then to the encrypted and occult rituals of the secret society called "Bizango" up to the third vodou rite of initiation called "Kanzo Senp". The trail gets it´s conclussion with "Bosal", hearing indomitable spirits that had not been summoned and are in their own will. Demanbwe is the second Damballah album inspired by the worldview of Haitian voodoo. It is a joint piece of soundscapes, environmental textures and tribal sounds.
