Singer - Songwriter - Producer - Musician. Started writing songs as soon as he could play a few chords on the guitar and recorded them on a sony 2 track reel 2 reel, he then progressed to a, teac 4 track and in 1995 when recording equipment became more accessible, he put his first studio together . The studio, named The Hide-out, quickly became a hive of activity with artists signed to the Drum and Bass label, Moving Shadow and Hip Hop artists recording for the Bristol label, Cup Of Tea Records. He was inspired by the soul and jazzy elements of the early Drum and Bass the Hip Hop break beats, it was his first experience with electronic music and when he started mixing live with electronic. His first release was a contribution to the Dextrous 12", he wrote and produced the lyrics for the title track, Moments of pleasure, then he released a compilation album of artists recording at his studio called, State Of Mind Expose The Hide-Out, the double 12" Vinyl and cd was released on the Bristol Trip Hop label, Cup Of Tea Records, followed by the 12" Distance, 3 tracks from the album were licensed to 6 compilation albums. In 2006 he purchased an old bank in a beautiful little old town in the center of Kedainai, central Lithuania and converted part of it into a recording studio. Over the next few years, he wrote and produced 3 ep’s, (10 tracks) for 3 Artists and released them on his independent label, DDF Music. In 2009 he entered 2 tracks with 2 artists into the Coca Cola soundwave competition sponsored by MTV, and won 1st and 2nd place. He will soon be releasing his 5 track ep called, Dan Donovan, Light & Dark, 3 of the tracks are available on several sites.
