Dan Murphy is a self taught artist, photographer, DJ, musician, film maker, and magazine and book publisher. He published his first book, Stuck on the Map, in 2003. He now produces Megawords Magazine with partner Anthony Smyrski and Megawords Radio with partner John Taylor, as well as other sound and video pieces for events and concerts organized by Megawords. Concurrently, Murphy works as a photographer and designer for Free News Projects, and for other independent clients including Swindle Magazine, Tequila Sunrise Records, the 700 club and Nike. As an artist he has shown most recently atThe Fleisher/Ollman Gallery in Philadelphia, and at the Hamburger Eyes Photo Epicenter in San Francisco. Murphy travels extensively to photograph for Megawords, DJ, perform, and to meet and collaborate with other creative minds.
