Singer / Composer
Originally from San Diego and based in San Francisco, Dan Rielly is a composer, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with several music acts in several genres, from funk/soul to punk to pop/rock to film soundtracks. He has performed with legendary poet Allen Ginsberg as well as many San Francisco Bay Area music acts, notably Bjorn Baby Bjorn (an ABBA tribute band), Party of 5, and The Skoings (whose 7” picture sleeve 45 is a collector’s item). In working with Johnny J Blair "Singer at Large," Rielly suggested a funk-electronica-lounge-pop cover version of Harry Belafonte's “Love Love Alone,” which morphed into a collaboration with Davy Jones (The Monkees)--the track went on to a global reception. Rielly has also collaborated with hit lyricist/songwriter Barry Alfonso (Olivia Newton-John, Pointer Sisters).
