Danny (Dan) Thompson, drummer and vocalist, spent his youth growing up in Marin County, CA. Danny was fortunate in that, at a very young age, he was mentored by Creek Hart son of Mickey Heart of The Grateful Dead, and went on to study on some of the greats, like Chuck Brown, Terry Bozzio, and Dana Miller. In 1998 Danny released two full length albums with “Protein”, a band signed to Sony’s W.O.R.K. Group, and toured the U.S. with Sugar Ray, No Doubt, Limp Bizkit, Primus and Sublime. Protein was also featured in an MTV Asian Buzz clip. From 2004 to 2007 Danny was a member of the band “The Mother Truckers”, a Texas based country rockabilly band with Funzalo Records. In 2008, Danny joined the Scott Weiland (front man for Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots) solo band and performed on tracks for Weiland’s new release Happy in Galoshes. With this band, Danny appeared on Jay Leno, Jimmie Kimmel, Carson Daly, and toured through the U.S. and abroad. Danny has worked with Sara Betten (K’s choice), appeared in a number of videos and in live performances, and through the years worked with real pros like Les Claypool (Primus), Mark Rivera (Billie Joel), Vince Neil, Jacob Dylan and Doug Grean. In March 2010, Danny joined the Alan Parsons Live Project for their tour of Eastern Europe and The Middle East.
