Producer
Record Producer & Songwriter Warner Music, [PIAS] Recordings, Universal Dan Colman's musical roots trace back to BlackCabs, a London-band who recorded with Roland Orzabal from Tears for Fears. When the band split in 2007 Dan began playing keys and samples for the artist Esser with Max Taylor (now of Mika and Lily Allen's band). Soon after, Dan began work with British producer/songwriting partner Jake Fairnie (under the alias Big Behaviour); producing and writing for artists and bands under the management of Stephen Budd. In 2014 Dan and Jake wrote and produced Inna Modja's single ‘Forgive Yourself’ on the album Motel Bamako. The album entered the charts in France at number 22. Dan and Jake continued to write and produce, including the lead track 'Terrible Lie' on the Rhonda 'Raw Love' album that reached number 10 in the German charts in 2014. Dan's early connection to Esser would also bear fruit as he wrote 'Wake Up Dreamin' (also with Jake and under the artist name Franklin) which was used for a Vo5 tv and online advertising campaign. Advertising successes continued, and a track co-written with Inna Modja entitled 'La Valse de Marylore' was used for a French governmental domestic abuse campaign. Currently Big Behaviour's eagerly anticipated collaborations include Speech Debelle, Jermain Jackman, Vince Kidd, Lundon Knighten, Nate James, Terri Walker, Miss Baby Sol and The Cadbury Sisters.
