Daniel Karlsson is a Swedish jazz pianist who was born in the mid-west of Sweden in the small town of Kristinehamn on August 31, 1973. He now lives on the island of Runmarö in the Stockholm archipelago. He started playing piano at the age of four, and studied music at Skurups Folk High School from 1992 to 1994. He went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Stockholm.
