acg,
Singer / Musician of Rock
A guitarist / vocalist from the age of 12, Daniel moved to Seattle, WA in 1994 to pursue a career in music. His work as an intern at Stepping Stone Recording quickly earned him a position as an engineer, and eventually as general manager / head engineer. His time at Stepping Stone proved to be invaluable as he was afforded the opportunity not only to develop his own skills producing / engineering local bands, but also to work for such noteworthy producers as Steve Lillywhite, Tim Palmer, Adam Kasper, Gavin MacKillop, Jack Endino, and Michael Shrieve, among others. More importantly, this was the starting ground for Daniel's continued working relationships with producers Joe Chiccarelli and Don Gilmore. By the summer of 1998, Seattle's music scene had slowed down dramatically. With a referral from Joe Chiccarelli, Daniel became an engineer at the The Record Plant in Hollywood, CA. His stay at The Record Plant put him to work with such notable artists as Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Don Henley, and Ice Cube. Only four months into his stay at The Record Plant, Daniel received an invitation from producer Don Gilmore to work on, "LIT - A Place In the Sun" (RCA). Without hesitation, he left The Record Plant and has been working as a freelance producer / engineer ever since. Notable projects include Lennex, Doubting Paris, Lucky 7, Heart, "Almost Famous," and more. Daniel's career as a freelance producer / engineer continues to grow with a focus on developing young bands, both as a writer and a producer.
