Jazz, Rock, Latin, R&B/Soul and Pop (Funk, Afrobeat, Alternative Rock, Indie Pop)
Daniel Puente Encina feat. New York soul singer Monica Green. ”Mike Tyson Radio Mix”: the original song forms part of the album ”Disparo” and tells the story of a typical ghetto kid, in his hard lesson in day to day survival through pain, anger and desire. To create this version Daniel Puente Encina invited New York soul singer Monica Green to give it with her backing vocals an amazing touch of ”Motown”. Minimalistic arrangement with impressive, powerful sound. An electric guitar, which seems to have been plucked from the muddy swamps of the Mississippi, accompanied by bass, congas and djembes and above all, two charismatic soulful voices produce a progressive, new and exciting style: ”Merengue Afro Funk”, as he calls his newest creation. Written, composed, arranged and produced by Daniel Puente Encina. Backing vocals by Monica Green. Percussion, congas and djembe, by Didier Roch.
