Daniel Rosin was born in Berne, Switzerland. Having played the modern cello from an early age he entered the University of the Arts Berne to study with Prof. Peter Hörr while attending grammar school and Pre-University Courses, graduated successfully in 2001 and achieved his Master of Performance two years later. Artistic impulses by Pieter Wispelwey, Heinrich Schiff, Wolfgang Boettcher, Janos Starker and Thomas Zehetmair supplemented his training.
