Danimal Swainger aka Daniel Swain is Wigan pure breed dragged up on a diet of Northern Soul and Warp records. Danimal followed his nose to (then Warp mecca) Sheffield where he immediately became immersed in the belly of the underground. During his lengthy and chaotic DJ residency at the notorious drinking hole DULO and working for underground parties KABAL and Light Down Low a he met Scott Monkz, and over shared love of soul, bleeps,hardware and booze a friendship was formed that reached the natural conclusion of shared studio time. Danimal had previously made his mark on the Edit ‘scene’ mixing his obscure disco with modern hardware to create his distinctive take on the genre.
