Best known for his productions and compositions of “These Tears” by UK artist Spiritchaser which secured the number 1 slot in South African charts in 2012/2013, achieving a second number one spot in 2018 when Sony artist Kwesta sampled the distinctive piano in the hit record “Spirit”. Jones also contributed production and arrangement to “Breathe” a song by American recording artist Blu Cantrell from her second studio album, Bittersweet (2003) which became a smash hit in the United Kingdom, where it topped the charts at 1# for four weeks in August 2003 selling in excess of 600,000 units. Jones has written music for USA Network TV including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation an American procedural forensics crime drama television series on CBS, Ringer an American TV series that initially aired on The CW from September 13, 2011, to April 17, 2012 starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as well as for British TV including Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, SKY Sports, SKY TV and BBC. He has also worked on music trailers for shows including The Island with Bear Grylls a British reality TV programme which premiered on Channel 4 on 5th May 2014. Narrated by Bear Grylls. In 2019 his music has been featured on The Grand Tour (Season 3) on Amazon Prime a UK show hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May. Jones co-owns and runs Duffnote Ltd t/a Kinetic Music Group with prolific Music producer, Composer, DJ and remixer Richard Earnshaw, under which hundreds of music productions have been written, produced, released and licensed on to various record labels including Hed Kandi, Minstry of Sound, Sony, JVC, Warner, EMI and many more. Jones is published exclusively and worldwide via his company by Bucks Music Group which is an independent, international music publisher founded in 1967 located in The Roundhouse, Camden, London.
