Danny Jones, a mandolin and guitar player, was born June 3, 1939 in Caneyville, Grayson County, Kentucky. He was a founding member of the Bluegrass Alliance, was briefly a Blue Grass Boy from June to August 1971, and was a member of the Roland White band. Jones passed away on February 3, 2017 in Louisville, Kentucky.
