Darren Hodson is a Singer / Songwriter & Guitar player based in Hampshire on the South Coast of England. He regularly performs as a solo acoustic artist and also with his band "The Southern Companion". In one guise or another Darren has opened for the likes of Bon Jovi, Status Quo & Devon Allman, and shared stages with guitar heroes including Robbie McIntosh, Scott Mckeon & Paul Stacey. He has also been the Guitarist & MD for Platinum Selling Artist Rumer. Influences include; The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Band, Del Amitri, The Beatles, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams and, well we could be here all day….. Darren performs live with a humble and “zero showbiz” quality that has endeared him to audiences for over 15 years. Whether he is performing with a full band or playing solo his passion for the music he loves is infectious. Much more than just a guitar player, he has a natural talent for harmony and melody that bring his original material to life.
