Excellent recordings from 1977 & 1978. The first piece was first published in 1979 on a LP by Ocora-Radio France, which was for me and many others a revelation at that time, as one could hear for the first time classical Iranian music of the highest order which was even in Iran only known by some msuicians and connoisseurs. Only now this music is better known, through the efforts of musicians like Dariush Tala’i and Majid Kiani, ethnomusicologist Jean During and the huge number of publications of old masters by Mahoor. “Ostad Dariush Tala'i in the booklet to this CD says: This CD is tar performance of Dariush Tala'i when he was 25 years of age in 1977. This CD includes two examples of my performance which are done in a period when I was researching in past music by apprenticeship of old masters and also by restoring their recorded performances. This collection includes 2 pieces which are recorded between 1977 and 1978. the first piece which is in Avaz-e Bayat-e Esfahan is produced for the anthology of Iranian music by French Radio in Ocora collection and is published in 1979. The second piece is in Dastgah-e Segah and is recorded in Tehran Radio Studio and is played in the "Golchin-e Hafte" program.”
