Album NO 2015 on Young Aspiring Professionals label
Pop
Limited to 300 copies. On September 6th 2013 DATAROCK performed their most extravagant premiere so far. Commissioned by the NuMusic Festival only three months earlier, the concert took place at the grand Stavanger Concert Hall featuring the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. With only one day of rehearsals, the material presented was the sound of an imaginary musical. The concert included some of DATAROCK’s most recent offerings and nine brand new titles, all draped in sixty minutes of freshly written orchestral arrangements. Rock Steady Freddie, Ketel Two, T-Man, and LA Gear were joined by additional singers and returning band members Ket-Ill, Stig The Mystical Casio Operator and Reverend Breverend. The stage was covered with elaborate visuals, props and artwork uniquely created for the occasion by visual artist Birk Nygaard and graphic designer Christian Bergheim. This extra special night was the first and only time DATAROCK performed their musical. Luckily, the concert was multi-tracked for documentation. Now all 115 recorded channels are dusted off, edited, mixed and mastered for release presented partly live and partly merged with studio sessions.
