Canadian jazz double bassist. Plays also in classical orchestras. Born : January 29, 1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Dave worked with : Moe Koffman, Hardy Hagood, "Edmonton Symphony Orchestra", "Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra", Oscar Peterson, Lenny Breau, Oliver Jones, Zoot Sims, Nat Adderley, Clark Terry and others. Dave Young was the bassist on many Oscar Peterson recordings after replacing Niels Pedersen.
