Album US 1996 on Studio Seventeen label
Electronic (Ambient)
The music on this compact disc was created with one electric guitar, a discman, and a custom-designed long digital delay/looping system and pedalboard. The primary sound source is the energy bow, a device which is manually placed over the strings of the guitar to create an endless sustained tone. Other incidental sounds were occasionally introduced into the loops as appropriate. The first five tracks were conceived and executed over a period of two months, the second five over a period of two days. This contrast in creation time was the transition point for completion of the project. "Round" was digitally created as a bonus track for the CD release of the album. This is music to sleep to, music to dream to... "...a feeling of quite in these transitory times" The phonographic copyright in these performances/compositions is operated by Studio Seventeen Productions on behalf of the artist, with whom it resides. Studio Seventeen Productions accepts no reason for artists to give away such copyright interests in their work by virtue of a "common practice" which is out of tune with the times, was always questionable and is now indefensible. © copyright 1996 (the world) David W.
