A.k.a. David Cook
Hip Hop historian, journalist, DJ and community activist. Originally from the Bronx he started out as a MC in 1977 for TDK (Total Def Krew) and Avengers and then moved to California where he graduated at UC Berkley. His mobile deejay work and community activism in the bay area eventually lead him deejaying at radio stations including KALX, KPFA and later KMEL. He also writes for numerous publications and magazines and has interviewed many Hip Hop artists.
